What Veil does

Veil is a browser extension that encrypts sensitive text on web pages before you send or submit it. Encryption and decryption happen on your device.

What we collect

• Organization accounts: team name, work email, device identifier, join timestamps, and public key material for team sharing.
• Secure tokens: encrypted ciphertext blobs and metadata (category, expiry, read counts). We cannot decrypt these.
• Security events (optional): detection category, severity, host domain, and action taken — never the matched secret text.

What we do not collect

• Plaintext secrets you secure or unlock.
• Your team passphrase (except when you choose to store it locally in the extension).
• Full page content or email bodies.

Where data is stored

Extension settings and passphrases are stored in your browser’s sync/local storage, encrypted on device where applicable. Cloud org data is hosted on infrastructure operated by Goldspire Ventures.

Your choices

You can disconnect from an organization, uninstall the extension, or request org deletion by contacting your administrator or [email protected].
